Rose River Memorial is a large-scale, community-based living memorial created to honor victims of the COVID-19 across the United States. Composed of 80,000 hand-made felt roses contributed by participants nationwide, the work transforms collective grief into a shared gesture of remembrance, care, and regeneration. The project was realized with the kind support of many institutions, and primarily Building Bridges Art Exchange. Rose River Memorial was presented in Los Angeles as part of Heal Hear Here on May 20, 2023, at Los Angeles State Historic Park, extending the memorial into a public space of sound, healing, and communal reflection.
